I found a dog inside my car’s trunk
He was as big as a toddler and I named him Lunk
When we went for walks I used a chain
His idea of exercise went against the grain
On the fourth day I had him the chain broke
Lunk ran so fast his paws began to smoke
He looked like a rocket roaring across the park
I looked and called for him until after dark
Suddenly I heard a roaring sound
I looked up in the sky—Lunk was found!
He landed by my side and wagged his tail
He was a canine version of the Holy Grail
